Sunday School

First Lutheran offers a variety of age-based Christian education for children of all ages at 8:30 & 10:00 am on Sunday mornings.

Preschool classes start with potty-trained children at age 3. Each class has its own teacher.

Kindergarten – 4th Graders participate in Faithweaver - a Sunday School Curriculum that brings families together while the world’s trying to pull them apart.
FaithWeaver is R.E.A L.:

Relational—Kids become friends as they learn.
Experiential—They do more than listen or read—they experience
          the lesson.
Applicable—Children become doers of the word.
Learner-based—they draw closer to Jesus in their own unique way.

56erscombine classes for 5th and 6th graders with special events throughout the year. This class is using a book called God’s Great Covenant  which will help get them ready for Confirmation.  This year they will be learning about the Old Testament stories from Genesis to Ruth.  They will see how the Old Testament is an unfolding story of the promises and power of God presented in simple weekly stories that can easily be done at home if a student has to miss class.  56ers is designed to help busy families fulfill their baptismal promises and keep faith as a part of all they do.

First Kids (all preschoolers through 4th graders) sing at worship services on the third Sunday of the month.

All Sunday School grades participate in a Christmas Program and Spring Musical.

Combined Sunday School events offer a multi-generational program and craft time celebrating different events in the church season.
